A long long time ago (august 2001), two friends, Fart and Emp, decided to start a starcraft clan. I know, this stuff happens all the time, but it wasn't a clan like any other. It was a clan for newbs only. The name: IGL (intergalactic losers) Not just anyone could join, you had to play a testgame, and you had to lose in order to join (kinda stupid,huh)

After a short while, lots of people had joined the clan. Meanwhile, the ((Corp)) clan was falling apart because of the worst leader ever in history (Darknes). EzeKieL, who was a co-leader of ((Corp)), already left the clan and after a while Knight and Tesla started a revolution, and decided to join IGL, because of all their friends there. ZeRoX and Darkelf tried to save ((Corp)) but it was too late. So they decided to join their friends in IGL.

In the beginning, some people made fun of us, and accused us of being compstompers. But evolution took place, and all the newbs became better and better, most of them became capable of kicking the asses of those who made fun of them.

Some new players joined, like 2_Cool (aka ReLiX), but nothing lasts forever, and some people decided to leave IGL. Cow joined vG, Zorb went from clan to clan, and many players became inactive.
Until one night (somewhere in April 2002), when Tesla, Fart and EzeKiel (who was a member of 3AD) decided to change IGL into OiA. Lots of decisions were made, for example: there would be no leader, but a core of 6 original members. A while later, we stopped using this system, and since then we have made all the important decisions together.

Around july 2002, Warcraft 3 came out. Almost everyone bought this great game, and left Starcraft behind. So now OiA had become an ambitious wc3 clan..

Some new members joined like Catilina (aka Joke), Musk, Sossis, Warry Spastjen and Hy3na. The Wc3 section was a succes and lasted a long time, but boredom is inevitable and thus inactivity returned. Which was the reason for Musk to leave and join F6.

A couple of months later TFT was released and it caused a wave of excitement through )OiA). Everyone went online and soon )OiA) grew from 13 members to 23 members, New joiners were My_fun, Musk (who returned once we were active), Sil, Hellkernijn, Fofo, Zorb and Deus.
